The Vulnerable Sector Check is the most comprehensive level of criminal screening available in Canada. This check is mandatory for roles where individuals will be in a position of trust or authority over children, elderly persons, or other vulnerable populations, such as teachers, social workers, healthcare providers, and youth mentors.
Due to its sensitive nature, this check is only available for positions that legally qualify under the Criminal Records Act and RCMP policy, and requires employer justification.
